It can be a very daunting task in choosing the best multiple vitamins if you really don’t know what exactly you have to look for. There are lots of brands available in the market. This article provides you guidelines for selecting the best multiple vitamins for your health needs.

First of all you should know the purpose for taking multiple vitamins before you start your search for it. We are supposed to get the nutrients from the food we consume on a regular basis. But there are none who consume fresh fruits and vegetables 5-6 times a day. Even if we consume them, we are not sure whether it provides you the recommended amount of nutrients.

One of the main areas you need to investigate while choosing the multiple vitamins brand is the place from where they purchase raw materials. If you do some researches on the internet regarding these issues, you could find that they have hidden such information. You may rather select the next one. If you cannot find any scientific evidences related to the safety and efficacy of a company’s products, it’s time to move on to the next brand. You will have to look for the company that uses humans as a matter for testing the product, and not merely animals. If you feel that the company’s product is not safe for human’s health, it is better to move on to the next one.

There are some guidelines that have to be followed in reading out the labels of multiple vitamin bottles. The RDA recommended dietary allowance has now been changed to DV (Daily Value). DV is amount of vitamins that is present in the food and it is expressed in terms of percentage. You need to consider the percentage of DV in the listed nutrients. If there are multiple vitamins with DV of 5,000 % or more, that brand has to be avoided. Normally all the brands will have DV which is balanced at 100%, more or less.

Another vital factor to consider while buying multiple vitamins is the size of the capsule or tablet. It takes a good amount of heat and pressure to squeeze the vitamins in the tablet or the capsule forms and sometimes extreme amount of heat can cause nutrients to be completely inactive. It is a better option to purchase a multiple vitamin brand that requires you to consume 3 to 4 tablets per day.

Finally you need to find out how long has been the company existing in this business. This ensures that quality of the products that they sell. If a company is just starting out this business, they tries to overwhelm other companies by selling good quality products initially, but in the long run you won’t get the quality what you are looking for. It is also important to look out for guarantee policy of a company. If the company is willing to refund all your money on the purchase of multiple vitamins, you can be very sure that they are of superior quality.

Vitamins are mostly obtained through the kinds of food you eat. However, proper vitamin supplements or pills can also help replenish some of the lost vitamins in your body. Tomatoes, lemons, spinach and milk products are an excellent source of vitamins for the body. However if the deficit is too high, your physician might advise you to take in supplementary vitamin tablets for a specific period. Body metabolism is of prime importance and this is depended on carbohydrates, fats, minerals and other components.

Different vitamins help our body in different ways. Vitamin A is the vitamin that helps your body grow and repairs. It keeps your skin smooth and is vital in bone formation. A deficiency of vitamin A results in night blindness. An essential vitamin that protects your heart and muscles is Vitamin B1. It also helps you digest carbohydrates. A very important vitamin that is essential for both kids and veterans alike is Vitamin C. it protects your teeth and gums and is also the cure for scurvy.

Vitamin D is yet another prominent vitamins and its deficiency can lead to a disease called rickets. Vitamin D leads to better bone development. Plenty of these vitamins can be found in milk, spinach and vegetables. Direct sunlight is another source for vitamin D. if you do not consume plenty of vitamin D; you are likely to develop osteoporosis at a later stage in life. The wound treating system in our body works because of the storage of vitamin E in our body. It breaks up clot in the body. Cells getting damaged due to ageing can be prevented to a major extent if vitamin E is supplemented in the body.

Vitamin B6 is the one that produces antibodies and vitamin b12 regulates carbohydrates and fat metabolism in the body. A child must be given foods plenty of this vitamin. Red blood cells are produced in the body with the help of vitamin B2 and folic acid. Folic acid tablets are administered to women before they get pregnant.

This reduces cancer risks and breast cancer risks and increases body metabolism. Vitamins should be a part of your food always. Always remember not to overcook your food. A food that is overcooked has more chance of losing vitamins. Also the more you store your food, the more vitamins it loses. Almost all disease you suffer from will be the result of a particular vitamin deficiency. The key to a better living thus is to identify this and take in plenty of foods rich in vitamins. Men and women alike are supposed to maintain a healthy diet and consume foods plenty in vitamin B12. This helps in keeping nerves healthy and produces red blood cells.

It also prevents anemia. This vitamin is found in plenty in milk products, beef, eggs and poultry. Consumed in the right amount, it helps increase energy and body metabolism. Today’s generation settles in for junk foods. They are not just harmful for the body, but are totally deprived of vitamins. They also create negative effects in the body.

Vitamins are essential nutrients required for human beings that are found in plants and animals. The etymology of the word stems from the word “vital amines” because it was originally thought that all these substances were amines. Human beings use vitamins to stay healthy and also perform functions. Broadly, vitamins can be categorized into two types and they are water soluble and fat soluble. It is important to consume a variety of foods so that your body retains all the necessary vitamins. This is so because vitamins are required to make body healthy. There is a general misconception that vitamins provide calories.

However, they do not provide calories directly, but do help regulate energy producing processes. Vitamin D and K are the vitamins that can be produced in the body; all other vitamins are obtained from the diet we consume. There are 13 essential vitamins and all these vitamins are extremely important so that the body functions smooth. Each of these vitamins has definite functions to perform as well. Vitamins help in the processing of body, also helps in cell growth, reproduction and digestion.

Vitamin deficiencies can cause diseases in human beings. During pregnancy too, essential vitamins need to be transferred to the kid through the mother. Otherwise, the baby is likely to develop diseases. Water soluble vitamins cannot be stored in our bodies and hence they are basically obtained from the variety of foods we eat. They are easily absorbed into the body systems. B complex vitamins and vitamin C are two water soluble vitamins that get absorbed very easily and hence must be replaced everyday.

These vitamins are easily washed out and also get easily destroyed during preparation. Urination also leads to the loss of these vitamins and hence they must be replenished everyday. In order to ensure the maximum presence of vitamins in your food, it is very important to cook them in an optimum heat and preserve them in a proper way. Always keep milk and other items from direct light and reuse boiled water from vegetables to make soups and porridges. Excess vitamins in your body will never do you any harm as they get dispersed in the form of urine and sweat.

Vitamins A, D, E and K are fat soluble vitamins. The human body uses bile acids to absorb fat soluble vitamins. These vitamins, once absorbed into the body, are stored in the form of fat. When you need them, these fats are taken out of the storage systems and utilized. Fat soluble vitamins, unlike water soluble get deposited in the body. Urination and sweating does not result in their discharge from the body. Hence they must not be consumed in excess as they can lead to side effects. Vitamins are essential part of human body and helps in the functioning of body. Therefore it is always important to eat the right kind of food and maintain the right levels of vitamin in your body. Ensuring that you eat a well balanced diet will help reduce chances of vitamin deficiencies and thereby diseases.

There is no scientific evidence that nutritional supplements can cure depression. Nutritional supplements are not to be considered a substitute for antidepressant medication. Although severe malnutrition can induce symptoms which include depression, there is no existing evidence which correlates the existing American dietary RDAs for nutrients and the prevalence of depressive or other mood disorders. Individual differences in nutritional requirements may vary considerably from the minimum amounts required to avoid clinically observable deficiency syndromes. The largest category of nutrients which may affect depression are substances which affect the efficiency of enzyme-regulated systems. Enzymes are complexly structured proteins which serve to greatly increase the rate of chemical reactions in the body.

Enzyme efficiency can be reduced by the lack of substrates (the raw materials that the enzymes cause to react), excess concentrations of products of the enzymatic reaction (e.g. homocysteine), low concentrations of the enzyme itself (a variety of factors here), the existence of substances which block or destroy enzyme function, the lack of co-enzymes (substances like B-vitamins which increase enzyme function but are neither reactants nor enzymes themselves), and more. I’m trying to be simplistic, but at the same time, give some idea of the complexity of the subject. As an interesting aside, the term vitamin was coined to represent a contraction of the phrase “vital mineral”, but what we term vitamins today are not minerals. I am going to be cautious of my language here; consider the disclaimer above. Also, please consider that my reference books have been in storage for a few months, so I’m relying on memory here. Nutrients which affect enzyme function and mental health include: the B-vitamins, particularly folate, pyridoxine, niacin and cyanocobalamin; zinc and selenium (often deficient or poorly absorbed, these are essential for key enzyme structures and electron-transfer reactions); magnesium; manganese; chromium.

There are widely discrepant opinions about the amounts of these substances which are safe and/or therapeutic. It is my opinion that some people (me, for example) need far more of some such nutrients than the typical minimum suggested by the RDA. The RDA is designed to prevent deficiency symptoms in the average person. There is no real understanding of what levels of nutrients provide optimal health, and the subject is the matter of some debate. There is also considerable interaction between minerals. For example, most people get far too much calcium relative to magnesium. The total amount of magnesium consumed may be sufficient, but the excess of calcium prevents magnesium from doing its work. Copper status is affected by zinc intake. It gets complex.

A deficiency of any of the micronutrients folic acid, Vitamin B12, Vitamin B6, niacin, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, iron, or zinc, mimics radiation in damaging DNA by causing single- and double-strand breaks, oxidative lesions, or both. For example, the percentage of the US population that has a low intake (50% of the RDA) for each of these eight micronutrients ranges from 2 to 20%.

A level of folate deficiency causing chromosome breaks was present in approximately 10% of the US population, and in a much higher percentage of the poor. Folate deficiency causes extensive incorporation of uracil into human DNA (4 million/cell), leading to chromosomal breaks. This mechanism is the likely cause of the increased colon cancer risk associated with low folate intake. Some evidence, and mechanistic considerations, suggest that Vitamin B12 (14% US elderly) and B6 (10% of US) deficiencies also cause high uracil and chromosome breaks.

Micronutrient deficiency may explain, in good part, why the quarter of the population that eats the fewest fruits and vegetables (five portions a day is advised) has about double the cancer rate for most types of cancer when compared to the quarter with the highest intake. For example, 80% of American children and adolescents and 68% of adults do not eat five portions a day. Common micronutrient deficiencies are likely to damage DNA by the same mechanism as radiation and many chemicals, appear to be orders of magnitude more important, and should be compared for perspective. Remedying micronutrient deficiencies should lead to a major improvement in health and an increase in longevity at low cost.

(NaturalNews) Big Pharma is constantly finding new ways to destroy the natural supplements market, in much the same way that the American Medical Association once sought to destroy the chiropractic industry (for which it was later found guilty of conspiracy in U.S. courts, by the way). The latest attack against vitamins comes from an FDA petition filed by Medicure Pharma, Inc., which has astonishingly asked the FDA to ban the sale of Vitamin B6! In the present investigation, it was found that oral supplementation of graded amounts of vitamin E to volunteers increased the -tocopherol content of the erythrocytes and decreased the susceptibility of the latter to the hemolytic action of cobra and viper venoms.

Further, exogenous addition of graded amounts of -tocopherol to the red cells, prior to the addition of either venoms, minimizes the venom- induced lysis and erythrocyte phospholipid splitting. It may thus be inferred that vitamin E, a fat-soluble antioxidant, plays an important role in reducing the hemolytic action of cobra and viper venoms. Haven’t you heard of people taking niacin to reduce blood cholesterol? On doctors’ instructions? Vitamin D for osteoporosis? It is pretty easy to disprove such a blanket denial. Pain can indeed be treated by supplements, but pain is a symptom of over 1000 disorders, so I’m not going to make specific suggestions. You have to consider the cause of the pain before you consider treating it. Anyway….. Instead of cure, how about prevention? The first abstract is written by Bruce Ames, a pre-eminent expert on mutagenesis. And the second one was one of over a thousand articles about disease states related to low vitamin D status….I just picked the first one I saw. I added some emphasis to the latter.

I’ve got another story that a local chiropractor (Dr. Redwood) tells. He saw a patient with lower back pain so severe he was contemplating suicide. He had seen a number of doctors over the years with no relief. Dr. Redwood asked the patient what he ate and drank and found out the patient ate a vegetable free diet and was drinking 20 cups of coffee a day. Improving the patient’s diet, relaxation exercises, and the usual adjustments solved the patient’s problems. The point here is none of the patient’s doctors thought it worthwhile to ask the patient what he ate or drank.

Apparently nutrition is not emphasized enough in medical school, or the doctors would ask. On an unrelated note, Newsweek ran an article in this week’s issue on doctors giving medical advice on the net. In general, I agree with your premise (that most of what is discussed has little relationship to science, and therefore isn’t really “lacking” from professional education) and that they aren’t getting people to change their diet though either are the fat-farms or diet centers. Calorie restriction while maintaining adequate nutrition has been shown in hundreds of studies, over decades, over many species, to have extremely positive health benefits. Effectively no studies (well controlled and statistically valid) have shown any negative effects.

True, human studies are scarce, but there is no documented harmful effects and many positive biomarkers in humans and other mammals. It will never catch on, since it requires willpower rather than dropping down a couple $$ for the latest magic potion. I do wish that the medical professions got a bit more information about it though; it is tough dealing with doctors and nurses who equate it with starvation, and try and treat it .

As noted within Strategy Tables, it is recommendd that Nutrin+ be administered daily to all animals. Simply follow the instructions and dosage indications on each supplement’s boottle/pac, or from teh Strategy Tables listed following. That’s all there is to it for ensuring that animals remain in good health and enjoy their life to the fullest. IMPORTANT: All Vaxa-Pet products are safe and effective at the recommended doses.

And, all Vaxa-Pet product combinations are safe. Be aware that in some cases, however, exceeding suggested doses may lead to loose stools in some animals. If this happens, simply reduce the dose given by 1/4 to 1/2. Vaxa-Pet products will greatly improve an animal’s enjoyment of life, and when used regularly, will generally protect them against dibilitating disease and dysfunction. Vaxa strongly believes in Proactive Veterinary Medicine.

We therefore recommend that all animals and pets be examined by a competent Veterinarian at least once yearly, including a complete blood evaluation including a thyroid test be performed, (2) A urine and stool sample to be evaluated. Recommended vaccines should be given annually, All dogs and cats have their teeth cleaned and that owners brush them daily, with only a veterinary recommended toothpaste.

L-Glycine, L-Proline, and L-Alanine are free form amino acids which make up over 75% of the Collagen molecule; without them, Collagen cannot be produced or maintained in good health. Skin problems/breadown can actually be caused by insufficient numbers of these three very specific free form amino acids, allowing imbalances to cause various forms of dermatitis and other related problems, including Candida yeast infections and overgrowth within collapsing collagen structures. When appropriate Homeopathic instruction are given, as they are in Dermatex, cell structures involving collagen can be orchestrated, regenerated and balanced, but only when sufficient amino acid precursors are amply supplied.

Thus, an animal’s stores and reserves of the free form amino acids which make up Collagen, especially L-Glycine, L-Proline, and L-Alanine, are very important to ensure Collagen is synthesized and generated when needed,. The Vaxa ‘human formula’ from which this Vaxa-Pet formula was derived is Dermatin. Active Homeopathic Ingredients: Alumina, Berberis aquifolium, Borax, Graphites, Hydrocotyle asiatica, Petroleum, Sulphur, Thyroidinum.
